Description: Play therapy is a must while working with young children and families. In this innovative workshop, social workers will learn useful play therapy theory and techniques to begin applying in their practice immediately while working with children and families who have experienced trauma. Participants will learn:
- Useful theory and techniques to engage children and families throughout the therapeutic process
- The “must-have’s” of a play therapy room
- How to create a portable play room to use in any therapeutic space
