Giving “Good” Praise to Kids

We live in world where helicopter parenting and tiger moms are on the way out of fashion and many parents are left wondering, “What do I do now?”. What we know is that too much superficial praise is not healthy for our kids and not enough praise leaves them high and dry in the self-esteem department. We watch young girls especially struggling once the tween years hit with low self-esteem and a belief that they are not smart enough, skinny enough, pretty enough, nothing good enough! This impacts everything from their academic performance to their home and personal relationships.
