Finding a good therapist for your child can be a confusing and frustrating experience for most parents.
Registered Play Therapists are licensed mental health professionals who have undergone extensive training in child therapy and the therapeutic use play.
Play Therapy is important. It differs from regular play by building on the natural way that children learn about themselves and their relationships in the world around them.
Therapists use play which is the natural language of childhood. toys are the words and play is the language. This gives the children the ability to find words for what might otherwise be unspeakable.
Through play therapy, children learn to communicate with others, express feelings, modify behavior, develop problem-solving skills, and learn a variety of ways of relating to others on their developmental and age appropriate level.
